Description
Inspired by a scene from my latest book! I finally got some momentum going again with my writing, and after a marathon writing session yesterday I just had to try and recreate a scene from the beginning of chapter six. Where Lola opens the door to find a hot and sweaty Misty standing there.
Misty is Lola's crush, though it's complicated as to why they aren't together. Best friends since high school, the fact that Misty dated boys in high school is Lola's empirical proof that Misty is straight, and therefore, not interested.
Misty isn't uninterested, but her fight with cancer pretty much has her convinced to avoid starting anything. In this chapter, things are further complicated - but I won't give spoilers. :)
I think I got a pretty decent sweaty look to the shirt, but I'll leave you to judge.

In the story it's over 100* and she just came from the trailer she lives in with her alcoholic mom, so she's overheated. Which is REALLY bad when you're battling cancer.
