Somehow We Swim
Dark clouds fly across the sky,
Bringing rain down from heaven's eye.
You blink and the whole world changes,
You blink and your life suddenly changes.
A ray of sunlight, somehow finds it's way,
Bringing calm after the storm.
Somehow we swim through the noise,
Through the despair and confusion.
Somehow we swim through this mysterious sea,
And somehow, we reach the other side.
I smile as I see you there,
On a wind swept beach,
With white tipped waves,
Crashing on the sands of time.
I smile as I see you there,
A million reflected stars,
Lighting up the night.
Somehow we swim through the noise,
Through the despair and confusion.

And somehow, we reach the other side.

A beautiful capture of the fleeing Henri...we got lucky in my area (Queens, NY)..it turned out to be a nothing burger--we were in the sweet spot it seems--not too much wind and the rain was manageable...hope it didn't hit you too hard, That's a most lovely Figment too :)
