Description
Marlena's stiffened, inert body ascended within the beam of energy and disappeared within the large humming disc shaped vehicle. The little invader rapidly followed and the disc rose into the sky and disappeared bearing the helpless girl to an uncertain fate.
Molly's art notes: A different sort of retro sci fi. This was set up and rendered with Poser 12.0.619 using the Superfly Cycles 2 rendering engine. Marlena is based upon the La Femme mesh with texture and morph modification by Tempesta3d. The scene is the private beach by Oskarsson. The weapon that the invader is holding is one of the sci fi pulp ray guns by Coflek-Gnorg. The invader is the work of Summoner with texture modifications for compatibility with Superfly Cycles 2. The UAP is a freebie (from Trekkiegrrl and still available at her website).

Thank you for the comment. The jet pack is integral to the character by Summoner which can be found at Freedom of Art. The exhaust is from the Stellar League Assault Suit which has a similar jet pack and is found at DAZ.

Thank you, Annie. I haven't moved the camera too much from the last frame leaving the viewer earth bound as our helpless victim is lifted by the force field into the belly of the spacecraft. It pleases me that you find that effective!

Woman's flight seems more meaningful. According to me but very good work, especially with blue tones towards Mars..!

Thank you! The fading into the brightness of the force field projector was accomplished a bit in the rendering and a bit in the postwork. It's good to know that you saw it as an effective technique.

Thank you, KC3! The lifting beam is actually part of the prop from TrekkieGrrl. I did a bit of retexturing but the base content is wonderful. She has a lot of great morphing props and other fun stuff at her website that's not available among the free stuff here. Check it out if you haven't already.
