Description
Hi dear friends,
This is what I made on 80 x 60 cm canvas., wherein I've used a lot of natural materials, such as bird feathers, dried ears of corn, dried orange and cucumber slices, shells, eggshells, leaves and twigs, moss, seeds, some electronics material and knitting yarn, etc..
Also seed pods, nets where fruit has been in, and other packaging material.
It must propose the traditions and history of our province of Limburg.
You see the Mosasaurus of Maastricht in a limestone cave, a mask of the Limburg carnival, and a timbering farmhouse and church.
The yellow group of beads is a field with rapeseed that occurs a lot here. Unfortunately, the 3D effect cannot be seen on a photo.
But I had a lot of fun to let go my fantasy on this large project.
When I wrote the title here I had to think of a poem that I once made in Dutch, so for the Dutch members:
Het landschap waarin ik woon
Weilanden een heuvel
insecten gekeuvel
afgetekend het vlas
door zonlicht zacht verrast.
Het aangenaam toeven
de boerenhoeven
stralen die dralen
spinnenweb met kralen
het zetten van de toon.
Het landschap waarin ik woon.
Dankuwel, thank you very much for your look ;-)
p.s. zoom is better.
