Description
Dorothea is one of those aging heiresses that never managed to grow beyond the 1970’s. She still dresses and behaves like she did when she was in her twenties even though she is now pushing 70 herself. Luckily she has enough money that people call her “eccentric” rather than crazy and indulge her whims. All of her ex-husbands speak fondly of her but they grew up and couldn’t stay with her. There is no shortage of young men who are ready to dote on her and she does throw a far out party.

I had a smile, reading your introduction to Dorothea, as the way you depict her could be applied to a lot of ageing people who stick to the vibrant energy of their sophomore years and youth in general, even though they have been otherwise through other hardships and pleasures of life that come with the process of aging. I find your Dorothea perfectly matching the description you've made of her. Excellent philosophical composition ! Well done !

Wolf (wolfenshire) hit it on the head. And you pack such delight into your creations. She looks exactly like you describe her---still living in the 70's, even as she pushes 70 herself. Love her look, that great beehive hair, that great blouse with a big belt buckle (a fabric belt maybe), and she smokes away (she really should leave that behind...). I like that you refer to "all of her ex-husbands"---we figure she had several---and yeah, younger guys probably go for her in a big way. I know people like her too. Great job capturing another great character.

Dorothea is a great character of yours. You could do a super job on a series of renders of her carrying on. Some of it might have to go on Deviant Art though, but what the heck.... Have fun Dorothea !!!!

I know all about that being "stuck in the 70's!" I occasionally suffer from some of those flashbacks, as well. And that reminds me . . . . . . . I wonder if my "old lady," Cocaine Kattie, is finished embroidering on my jeans !!!!!
