Oh 'dit beeld is adembenemend mooi geworden! Ik hou van je hele galerij, die vol staat met prachtige kunstwerken (ik ben een vriend van lieve Jeanne (Artdreamer)! ๐
Oh wat leuk, Ute (dat je een vriend van Jeanne bent), dankjewel voor je lieve compliment.
Again, I HATE to skip your images: I have seen everyone of them, I just can't comment on them all, right now. This image is spectacular. (You've posted others like it.) You created a very pearl-like glow, and also a metallic glow...and also a thick glass glow (like 'blown glass'---you know what I mean by that? Glass that's blown over a fire, with chunks of colored glass inside? the colored glass melts and forms many flowing patterns...Murano glass comes to mind...)
It's a big flower---yes---with all these floral forms inside the petals. This is so rich, and so 'cellular'. (I think of Stravinsky, almost, because of his constant small 'cells' of music, over and over. But Stravinsky was not nearly as colorful---after his very first ballets, he became more and more mathematical and strict. This image is like late 19th C. classical...and of course like Bach.)
Your background is also loaded with floral patterns. You've created a late 19th C art nouveau feeling here. This could be a massive stained glass panel (with some "Tiffany" in it). And your frame seems to lighten the patterns---beautiful. Just wonderful, Jacomina. Terrific art.
