one of the images part of my womens day project (a bit more longterm than just one day).
I let them voice what they have to face day by day and what they want.
Women get told that they should smile. Anywhere. On the streets. By collegues. by random people. By their grandparents, parents...
This is not fun. Why should you "smile" for someone, when you just lost someone, when you have chronic pain, when you are so stressed that you don't know how to deal with life?
No man get's asked to smile.
So why do you that to women? Just that they fit to your image how she should look like? But that is not your buisness. It is her life, her decision.
