Description
The image has nothing to do with the title. I was just playing with retexturing ArtTailor’s Atomique outfit and chose it to post the latest “Are You Kidding Me?” saga. I promise I am not looking for sympathy just someone to share the idiocy.
On September 19 I posted the “What Next?” tale of Allie’s ankle, Mother’s hip/nursing home, and remote schooling. Everyone is doing well and the dreaded question of going home has never arisen. Just after I posted that we found out that Ray’s brother is going to have surgery soon to piece his deteriorating lower spine back together. The boy looks like a corkscrew. And now for the piece de resistance: Caitlin (9 year old granddaughter) took a bad bounce on the trampoline last Saturday, hit her arm on the upright net support and snapped her humerus in two about an inch above the elbow. I still cringe when I think about that xray. The local hospital immediately had her transported to the Norton’s Children’s Hospital in Louisville where they put it back together, inserted pins and applied a cast from fingers to just below the shoulder. They wrapped the cast in that stretchy, self-adhesiive gauze in the colors of her choice – blue and purple. She is doing well but is worn out. We managed a little school yesterday and today, but not much. We’ve decided the rest of the kids have to sit on the couch for the rest of their lives.
Is 2020 ever going to end???

As they say, when it rains, it pours...let's hope no one else needs medical care..good idea to keep the kids on the couch, perhaps not forever, but at least until the stars are in more favorable positions...Great scene you've created-love that hat :)
I saw the title and thought "Boy, that's gonna leave marks..." Then I read your narrative, and OMG - poor Caitlin!! I almost felt that from here! The Girls and I send our love and healing vibrations her way - that's got to be rough to go through..
I don't know how the heck I managed it, but in my (chasing 72 in a few days) years, I've never broken a bone in my body. Which is amazing considering all the stupid s__t I did when I was (a lot) younger...

This year has gone on for so long that I spend a lot of time trying to convince my weary friends that it will indeed get better. Hang in there Teri, the chaos will come to an end. The image is a bright spot in this maelstrom. Still I was expecting combat boots. :P

Oh my but you have been through it. I go berserk when I have a sick or injured grandchild. Such a helpless feeling to not be able to fix it for them. Your image is stunning! I hope all your sick folks are well soon and let me know how the couch sitting works. Sounds like a good idea to me.
