Description
It appears Jake should have done his homework a little better. He thought he had found the
perfect mark to swindle out of some major credits. Scanning the news feeds, he had come
across the obit of a politician who had recently passed away. Both he and Silo had known
the politican and had even done a few dirty jobs for him. His widow looked like an easy
target for one of their scams
Jaked figured that he could probably hit up the widow for several thousands of credits to
keep news of their business dealings with her late husband out of the news. They were dead
wrong.
The widow knew all along about all of her husbands shady side. She kept her own reputation
clean and had completely disassociated herself from him and his less than ethical workings
long before his untimely demise. In fact, unknown to the public, the Chief Magistrate of
the district had just appointed her chief investigator into corruption that was going on
in government.
So when Jake and Silo met with the widow in her office to lay a little scam of their own
on her desk, she wasted no time having them escorted off to jail. So now what will become
of Jorge's quest to find the planet of the ancients?
