After Jorge's head clears up a bit, he and Red brain storm about how to handle the two rogue space pilots. They run through several scenarios before they come up with one they can both agree on. Number one, Jorge has to quit drinking. It has been getting out of hand lately with his recent bad luck. He just has to realize that drinking only makes matters worse. It definitely muddles his brain! Number two, since for now, the two space pilots don't know how intelligent Red Rover is, they will keep it that way, and Jorge will continue to play the somewhat gullible, naive blond headed kid he was in the bar the previous night. Number three, once they determine what the other two are going to do, they have to figure out whether it helps their cause or hurts it. If it hurts it, they have to quickly figure out counter measures the get around it. Number four, they know they will be expected to pay something for the services of the two pilots. I mean, pilots have to be paid for their services and there is the expense of provisioning the spaceship since their journeys could take months but hopefully not years! Number five, the most difficult for Jorge. He has to come up with the credits that will be required to pay for the space ship journey. So, he must call in a few favors, if he has any, from friends and associates and hopefully come up with enough to cover expenses. After they have gone over several other details, Jorge grabs a few hours sleep before the meeting with Jake and Silo in the afternoon. They arrive a little late owing to Red letting Jorge have a little extra rest time. When they arrive at the bar, Jake and Silo are already seated at the same table as the previous night. Silo is in the throes of ecstacy at the hands of one of the waitresses from the establishment who is giving him a most exquisite back massage. 'Have a seat!' says Jake. 'I'll pour you a drink. My turn to buy today!' 'No thanks.' says Jorge. 'I'm still hung over from last night. I'm gonna have to take a rain check on that. Perhaps some kind of light drink might be nice?' 'Not drinking? Wow. Well that is something.' says Jake. You can see him making a mental note of this development. Silo doesn't even seem to notice the conversation. The lady has him wrapped around her little finger with her magical hands. One of the ways Silo has lost so many of his credits is his lack of sense around the ladies. He needs to wake up and start paying attention to whats going on around him. At any rate, Jake gives the lady a dirty look. She takes the correct meaning and leaves immediately. They get down to business and haggle over how much is needed for provision- ing the space ship and how much the two pilots want for their services. After a couple hours discussion, they reach an agreement. Jorge tells them it will take him a few days to get the credits they need and asks if that will be a problem. They say it won't, since they have a some business dealings they have to take care of before they depart. Earlier that day, Jake spotted what looks like a very easy mark. The meeting ends on a positive note. Red Rover has maintained his silence throughout the entire discussion. He is proud of how well Jorge has handled business by not showing too much negotiating skill, but sill getting as much out of the situation as possible. M4, V3 and various other characters.
