I didn't know in 1976 that the Liberty, Allison and Merlin were all SOHC aircraft V-12's and the Allison and Merlin even being spiral bevel driven camshafts like the Ducati. I missed the four valve setups that came to dominate vee engines in cars and trucks and ignored the single cylinder Honda that challenged 2-strokes. My mind was buzzing with GP Bugattis. Now after 16 years this image simply updates the micro-environment for engineering and design. Do you really hate the 1974 and up 5 mile per hour bumpers. I didn't know that he Bosch Luft fuel injection was a Bendix licensed system that did not make it with American Motors. My own relationship with Bendix was on the KC-135N/NC-135 that was modified at Douglas, Tulsa as the Apollo Range Instrumented Aircraft. This s the render that caused me to get all the die-cast models from Amazon to show the men I knew from 1965 until 1984 as the completions of the machines we worked on. The background building prop was criticized cruelly for not being a good representation of a German-American restaurant. So, I found the Marienplatz in Munich and made a prop set of that over a time.
