Notes: I’ve created a lot of personal artworks over the years including some that portray deep feelings and/or aspects of my illness and yet few have made me actually cry during their creation. This is one of those artworks during which I cried while creating. As soon as I wrapped that Goffin’s little wing around her shoulder, I cried. When I moved his eye too look up at her and her at him, I cried. It just brought back so many memories of the Goffin Cockatoo that I once had as a companion. I miss him so. And now I’m starting to tear up once again. This piece just stirs up so many memories for me of love and loss.

Aw, such a sweet scene! I love their expressions, full of such love and affection! Your description made me tear up a little :-) I can't imagine life without the companion ship of creatures (in my case, three little Chihuahua-mixes). I hope you're able to find another bird companion when the time is right!
