Description
Picking up some _steam_ now. The second member of the sky pirate crew, Penelope! The base model is Malorie for G3F by Deva3d. One of two pirates I got from the clearance sale. Add in Naia from Fastgrab, and I guess I'm getting a bargain! I also picked up the base outfit from the sale, but added in the waist scarf from Romi for G3F from the Daz Store. I wish it had some alternate color options, though. Maybe I'll play around with it. Still, not a bad color combo. The scene renders fast enough (about an hour) that I won't feel bad about going in and doing a recolor later.
Not quite sure how big the crew is, but now we have both the first mate and the cabin girl. I'll be working on the strong-arm later, and the Captain after that.
Oh! I now have a working title for the setting I'm developing for the play test. "Machina Rosa Gothika" or "Red Machine Gothic." Basically word salad, but I think it has a nice ring to it, and evokes a certain mindset.
I'm toying with the idea of putting together some sort of recruitment poster, putting out the call for adventurers to come and playtest. Got some wonderful folk here. I'm sure _some_ of you might drop in for a session or two.
It's fun pushing themes in character art. Usually I think, "Would a person really wear that?" Or I try to put them in different clothes if they're on a different "day." For this, though, I got to keep it a little simpler and push themes instead. Though I'm already picturing the crew infiltrating a high society gathering. Maybe I just want to see Penelope in garters, lol. (Under the dress, of course.)
Lighting was set up to highlight her face, with the spotlight coming from below so it would also catch the pistol behind her back. I wanted the viewer to go, "aww, she's cute" and notice the pistol later. Like, yeah. She _is_ cute. But she'll make you walk the plank if you try anything fresh!
Second spotlight from the side to give her face some definition. Both set to "rectangle" mode. This one isn't as bright.
Then I added some glowing cylinders to the light fixtures because I couldn't get them to light up just adding an emissive to the "light source" surface in them. Weird. This is the door panel from DM's "About Time."
i wanted a little motion, so I flared out the skirt to one side, and the earring. As if she just spun around to say hello. What do you think? Too subtle?
Have a great day, and thanks for the feedback! I'll be creating a new album later to put renders related to the game.

like how she hides her weapons.
Gotta make every shot count when it's smoothbore! Though I'm think the sky pirates might have early rifling in their weapons. I want to find a prop for the "finned" bullets that they used to use, which is partly why we have rifling now. Maybe I'll have my buddy make one. Should take him about 30 seconds, lol.
Lovely work! The lighting works perfectly, I did exactly that (hmm, cute model... err pistol?)...
Works a treat!
Thank you. I really had to play with the temperature a lot because of her skin, and then color enhance in post to bring out the purple in her hair again.
And when i saw Malore while browinsg, I had to get her. It's a great skint one. Not one you see very often in digital. (An oversight that ought to be corrected.) I shrunk the head slightly (she started with it a little enlarged) and that was it. I actually loaded it onto the dforce breast model, but didn't actually run the simulation because it wasn't necessary. I just wanted to be ready, just in case. She'll be saved as a subset, and be ready for future renders.
i have not a clue of what game you talking about...XD but it's a nice image :)
Lol. It's one I've been writing. I'll be doing something like a poster to explain it better and make it's own gallery. Thanks for having a look.
Wonderful image and well done!
Thank you, deva. She's a beautiful model
Very cool addition to the sky pirate crew....!!...really lovely scene....wonderful lighting....top work...!!
Thanks, I'm glad you like her. She's got a lot of attitude. Knows all the secrets on the ship. And the best way to make someone disappear.

Thank you. I appreciate it.
Beautiful work here, Lyle! Very strategic placement of that pistol, it works to great effect. I love the lighting here too. :)

master of misdirection
I imagine she has a knife hidden away somewhere, too. Thanks for having a look!
I really like the backstory of what went into this. You really work from a lot of detail points to come up with this wonderful render. She is the real deal as a character. I’m looking forward to hearing more about the work you’re doing on the role-play. Well done and I look forward to seeing many more.
Thank you. I'll keep you in mind. If you're interested.
Nicely done.

Very cleverly concealed pistol at that! A most fine looking character and fantastic render! Great job on this one! Bravo.
Thanks! I really like her. That's something I miss about being a DM. I get to play whatever characters I want.
She certainly has a Penchant for Putting me in a Pleasant and Playful mood.. And makes my heart go Pitter-Patter... 😁
This is great! I love her look, her pose, and.... Heck..... Everything about it! Sweet work, good sir!

That's brilliant character work, my friend! I find the feather decoration super! Great details!
Thank you. She'd have you believe she's a sweet little angel. She's going to be a ton of fun to introduce to the players.
My problem is, I've got to figure out how to do all the voices!
