Description
It's nearly four in the morning. Late even for the late-shifters, but it's time to go home. It's not so bad - at least it's quiet. Usually, platform five is empty as I wait for the train.
Only this time, it isn't. She turns at the sound of my footsteps, and then I'm held captive by her gaze. Another night-owl on her way somewhere else. She smiles, and I briefly forget how to breathe.

So ages ago I bought this model, Aryn, on the very day she released. I was really excited, though at the time I was pretty lousy with the software. I think I'd only been using it for about a month. I didn't load her up because I didn't want to do her an inservice. Then time passed. I got better, but by then I had so many to choose from that I sorta forgot. In the end, I did her wrong after all. Hope she's forgiving. Who am I kidding? Look at that smile. Of course she's forgiving.
I corrected my oversight and have fallen in love with her all over again. I think we'll be seeing her in future renders. She's too sweet to let sit in the runtime collecting digital dust.
Lighting is 100% handled by adjusted the mesh lights in the scene. Environment is turned off completely so I don't get any weird light coming from the tunnel. Subdivisions were turned all the way up, and I spent quite a bit of time getting her makeup right. The makeup around the eyes is part of Aryn's kit, the lips are from a LIE makeup set, nails are from another character. (I forget which - sorry!)
Sadly, the brown eyes she came with are kind of underwhelming. Her default blue ones are AMAZING, but I was feeling that she needed brown eyes. After all, there's a lot of blue-eyed beauties rendered up already. Gotta show some love for the brown-eyed girls out there! (It is my favorite Van Morrison song.) So I dug into the "GP Character Eyes" by Groovy Patrol. I highly recommend that set, btw. I've gotten so much use out of it. So many options!
Hair is, of course, "Untamed Curls" hair by Out of Touch
Outfit is the "Summer Shift Dress" by Lully. That went through the simulation quite nicely. Her earring is from the Gou Luk set from Nirvana/RareStone, the choker from "Retro Style Outfit" by Nathy.
I was going to adjust depth of focus, but I felt she stood out from the background just fine and decided to leave it all crystal-sharp.
Consider this my little showcase of the VBG (Very Beautiful Girl) Aryn. I hope ya'll love her as much as I do! Thanks to GypsyAngel for creating such a wonderful model!

Absolutely beautiful girl with most amazing eyes and adorable expression! I love her hair too... she's so cute!!
Thanks. I know I'm in love.
She is fantastic
Thank you! So nice of you to take the time to leave a comment. I really appreciate it! grin
You nailed it. She is a beauty. I love this scene. You are an awesome artist. I think she is happy to be out of the box. Luckily she hasn't aged a bit and still looks good in front of the camera.
Thanks, Dag. That really means a lot. I get so carried away on these passion pieces, then I get nervous to actually show anybody. Vicious cycle. It's nice to be appreciated.
And yeah. It's good to get her out of the box. I think we'll be seeing more of her real soon.
This is lovely work.
Thank you! That's so kind of you to say.
Very nice, but there's some poke thru. The sleeve from her dress cuts in her breast.
Well, shoot. I missed that. Hmm. Guess I'll have to run it again. Thanks! I think what happened is that when I applied a push modifier to fix a problem with the elbow, it pushed the sleeve into her breast. I should have re-run the simulation.
Thanks!
Cool!
Thank you. I'm going to re-run once I fix the outfit and edit the post. That's Daz. Sometimes you fix one problem just to fine another! I'm glad you could stop to leave a comment!
Wonderful !
Thank you, crender.
Excellent work!
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Yes, she is a very beautiful character! I am glad you decided to 'do her right.' She came out looking 'marvelous dahlinck.' LOL at my failed attempt at sophistication. You've come a long way, baby, to get where you're at today!, to coin a phrase. Love your work. Keep it up! Bravo!
Thank you. It's good to hear. I'm going to have to run a scene with her and her blue eyes, because they were really nicely done. But for me, personally, she just looks like a brown-eyed girl.
I get a giggle out of your scenes. Thanks for sharing them.
Wonderful image, once again excellent work!!!!
Thank you so much!
want to get to know her
I'm glad. I'll have to do another one with her soon.
Lovely
Thanks, Anita!
Beautiful image, great render and light!!! Excellent work! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you! It will be even better once I upload the corrected image. Got it rendering now. Thanks for thr support!
the hair is great - most soft curls you buy are looking bad ... those are wonderfull
Oh, yes. I saw this in the shop, and thought "That's got to have been touched up in post or something." But I got them anyway. They definitely slow down your render, but they are fantastic. Really good detail, plenty of options to play around with. It's a great reminder that dForce hair isn't everything, and you don't have to go full fibermesh to have exquisite detail. I really love it.
She's a sweetie alright! Digital dust! What a GREAT terminology!
Thank you very much, kind dude. bows I'm glad you like it. Thanks for taking the time, and leaving comments. It's lovely.
She is very pretty, well done
Yes. I like her a lot and now must plan to have her come back again!
