Seeing many favourable comments on the Chevy by Darkglass i thought I give it a whirl. Took me some time to choose a color but then came up with this. I KNOW that this is not the car that belongs into the scene, but hey, this is the world of happy rendering and tweaking (hence the title: close, but not exact).
@Darkglass: thanks for this very fine model!
Photoshop and ON1 for the effects.

Fantastic, thanks! Even if it's not the right car I recognized it before I even saw the title.

Nice! Perhaps Christine's spirit hopped into a Chevy
like the red light and the smoke

You have captured the atmosphere beautifully. The book was fantastic, so is this. Shame about the movie lol.
Excellent scene! The effects are awesome and so is the car.
This is absolutely gorgeous! Fantastic creation!
Well, 24 Cars were used in the film, to make 17 complete cars in different stages of repair! So,l you were 1/24th Right! Hahaha! This is very fine work indeed and contains just enough menace as the original film!
Fascinating creation! Even though I haven't commented on many of your graphics lately, I want to tell you now that you have created many beautiful graphics for which you are to be congratulated.
