Description

It was about time I did another portrait of Rose. I plan on really digging into making the "Stateroom" a bit more fitting for her bedroom. She seems to suit more boho/gothic styles, so I want to make sure the room reflects that. This was just a quick render to start to establish that. She is the daughter of the characters in my first book. Her mother was the product of genetic engineering, in a program designed to create super soldiers. Of course, Sobely couldn't hurt a fly. She is very gentle. As part of a deal the MC's father made, Timothy was entrusted with the safety of Sobely. They ended up on the run, falling in love, all that. However, the villain set up a surprise in Sobely's genetic code. While Sobely herself had unusual features - elf-like ears and cat's eyes, her daughter would be born with deep red skin and horns. She's not actually demonic, mind you. Call it one last act of cruelty from the villain. (He didn't survive the book.) Writing that book took me fifteen years. I struggled with my mental health, with physical health. Self doubt. I always intended for there to be a sequel, I just haven't been able to start it yet. It's a bit of a painful topic. BUT. It's starting to take shape in my head. Once I get done with my current novel, I think I just might turn my attentions to this. In the meantime, I want to do more art with Rose and really get the character established in my mind. She enjoys reading, and her favorite actress is Audrey Hepburn. Highly intelligent, her main hobby is sewing doll clothes. I also have this notion that she plays tabletop RPG with her father and friends. I'll have to see how it plays out. EDIT: Reuploaded after sprucing in a photo editor. Much better now. EDIT2: THIS IS A WIP. Forgot to mention that.

Yeah, she doesn't look like the supersoldier type. Probably busy in a coffee shop with her nose in her cell phone or something like that. Genetics only determines trends and ranges, not definitive outcomes. Upbringing plays a big role as well.

Indeed. Though, sadly, she has to cover up whenever she goes out in public. To keep her safe.
