Thanks for the visit my friends, such a rather simple creation here, my muse has not been with me much lately.
Also a Happy belated Mothers Day. Was such a pity that could not enjoy a dinner at the restaurant this year with my dearest mother who turned 85 in April.
My Bday is later this month. A mild 63 years of age.
Our churches mostly are still shutdown, hope the ones violating the crowds dont get themselves all covid sick.
And got to prepare for possible increase In fatalities. Not sure what is best, lockdown or go about your business. Just stay safe as possible my friends. Love ya all. Steve

She has the candles lit and the Bible on the Altar open. Churches are never really empty, they house the souls and hearts of the people who need to be there. God will wait. Good work, I like the quiet atmosphere of this church scene.

Many great comments here. You portray an empty church, with a woman holding a bible, as the guardian of this place, waiting for the day when people can return. You've clothed her in a silvery-platinum gown and blouse, and you've given her a beautiful bits of ornament (tattoos, maybe) that are flowered and bejeweled. (And they come through the rings on her top---beautifully done, Steve.) She holds a lantern too, as if "keeping the light on" for the day when parishioners can return.
Your background is soaked in dark reddish browns, and you have light on the altar, also waiting for parishioners. A touching image, capturing the wait of our time---ie, waiting for the day when life can return. I'm so against thoughtless return to normal: I'm sure it can be done methodically, with absolute fealty to space, protection, etc. But look at that choir practice, some days ago: People practiced social distance, yet many were infected, and I think someone died. (I think.) If people are singing, they're shooting their lungs into the air, and it's just crazy to do that in an enclosed space when highly infectious disease is present. So, while we may be able to add people to the workforce, we have to keep the space. Churches, synagogues, mosques, restaurants, coffee shops, etc, are just too crammed for the virus (unless they're very vigilant). I also wish the rich, and rich governments, would help the many poor---not the big corporations, but the poor and the workers. It would be nice if they cared enough, but that's another story. Anyway, a poignant image, beautifully done as always. I'm sorry you couldn't see your mother on mother's day.
