I'm with Paul Gormley, they DO look like Sphinx's. (There are two--see them? There's one behind the big one.) It looks like the big one's saying to the little one: "Ok, who dropped the boulder??? and who's gonna get it???") You caught a boulder on the lower right, like someone dropped it and no one's got the energy to get up and get it. (They're lazy sphinx's.) Love the light, love the detail and monumentality. Like I say, you get captures, in an average 'day' that I don't get in 10 years. These Utah shots are wonderful.
