Dear Mark,
With this fractal tulip I wish you a wonderful and happy Birthday, my friend.
Wishing you heavenly music, intense art, a spring full of joyfully flowers, plus many more years of love, light and creativity.
Unfortunately, we have something in common, this infamous virus;
but that's also the reason that I chose a real Dutch Tulip, and it's virus free.
Another good side effect, it remains at a distance.
But actually I intend to bridge our distance with this, because it would be so nice to be able to celebrate your birthday together.
Of course while listening to one of J.S.Bach's cantatas.
Stay well, dear Mark, and enjoy your 21st March.

What a awesome moving,lively and happy card for Mark. The sense of separation is lost for a moment as you celebrate this joyous occasion.
This is amazing, Jacomina. I can see the tulip, but you transformed it into a swirling galaxy, with sensuous rivers and brocades and gold and sunlight, etc. Everything swirls out of the tulip. Your background is like a deep sea, and all those lines and fractal-patterns are like deep-sea creatures swirling in the water. This is "essential Jacomina," it's intense, organic, shining, deep, very musical, and filled with inter-weaving forms. And your fractal patterns really look like brocade, or like an old treasured tapestry. (And I can see Bach in there too---not a surprise. It's all counterpoint.) Thank you so much: It jumps off the screen and into our eyes (no social distance!). It's gorgeous, Jacomina, I'm very grateful. (And I see it full size too---it's like a huge tapestry, gilded with gold and sunlight.)
Thank you for your beautiful words, and for using a Dutch Tulip (virus free) to join our countries and traditions. I appreciate everything you wrote---we got to share a birthday, even over long distance! I got a small cold last week---nothing serious, but it slowed me down (so I don't get the virus). Please know I'll be back to your gallery very soon, to sit with more of your beautiful imagery (including your beautiful dedi for Katherine). Thank you for this beautiful gift, Jacomina, and I wish you all the health you can get, and same to Karel.
