Description
Oh, boy, was I in a spot of bother earlier! I'd lost over 15 years of recorded music and all my backgrounds and effects I use to dress my pictures!!!
Took it to my Pal Phil and he recovered every single file which is being downloaded to his server ready for copying over to a new 4TB Drive for Cathy's machine and I'll pull them off to my new 3TB Drive, once her drive turns up from Amazon! lol
Whilst the computer was in dock he carried out a drive health check and both C & F drives were showing signs of slowing down!
His special meter indicated that my C drive had around 3 months or less of useful life before it failed altogether! So, I thought, let us try an SSD!
So glad I did! Added 8 gigs of memory and have shaved my render times by around a half! Meaning I can complete a decent quality effort, within an hour or so, whereas previously, it was taking just over two!
Thank you for stopping by! Your time is always greatly valued by me!

excellent
That's great news to accompany this gorgeous image, Steve! It would have been a heartbreaker to lose all that irreplaceable treasure. So cool that Phil was able to rescue it!
Those SSDs are fantastic - so fast! Great work, mate!
Steve, this is a fantastic image. So glad your friend was able to help you out.
Great news about your computer equipment and your year's of collecting content didn't go down the drain, Steve...never really know what can happen with these darned computers...love your scene...it's so colorful and inviting:)

Good you'r back up and running Steve, beautiful render I like the way you framed the model with the trees. Really neat work.
she is stunning and as well her clothing rocks
great news Steve. I am still transferring zips with copies to a 4TB drive. every time I think I am ahead, I find some more stuff
Stunning
What a close call. I have a fireproof terrabyte external from ioSafe. It had all of my Poser content on it when my computer actually did crash. It took me months to transfer, weed through, and find everything. After six years away, it's so good to connect with old friends. I like the contrast in this one...such a bad girl in such light, fantasy surroundings.
What vibrant colours…….delightful
