Description
If the young man thought the previous interview was a grilling, he hadn't seen anything like he
got when the next guys started questioning him. But he was very articulate and answered all of
their questions. He felt he was qualified for the position and he put forth is best efforst to
secure it.
Once he left this interview though, his head was spinning. The chief interviewer had really gone
into depth about the young mans skills and knowledge of the areas he would be working at. What
the main guy didn't ask, the other guy standing behind him did. They really worked him over
verbally firing question after question in rapid succession.
The young man was excused for a break after the last two guys finished their questions. He was
told to come back to the office in half an hour for one last session. And he had thought that
this one was the last. At least that was what the guys in the other room had told him.
Half hour later, he is ushered into the second office where all the guys are standing around.
He doesn't know what to think. None of them are smiling. They really look serious and this is
starting to intimidate him. Up to this point, he had been fairly confident that he had a good
chance at getting this position.
Then, as if a button had been pushed, all the guys broke out into big smiles. The main guy
says to the young man, 'Relax, buddy! The position is yours, if you still want it!'
He does and thanks them all. Of course the biggest smile in the room is his.
