"Um, beggin' yer pardon, Lady Katrin, but please take my arm. I'll see to it ya don't bump yer head on nuthin' or fall off the deck," said the Constable, offering his arm.
"Why thank you, Constable. That is most kind of you," responded Lady Katrin. She placed her hand in the crook of his arm and lifted her head. Raising one eyebrow, she smiled and said, "I certainly don't want to fall off the deck."
"Uh, 'twern't nuthin', yer Ladyship," replied the Constable, blushing. "Captain Neathergarden says I gotta keep you safe. So, I reckon the best way to do that is ta' keep you right next to me."
