My artistic photos of construction sites were inspired by the fractal art of erabyterum. The photos there is about a construction site that is equipped with a light-lifter tower crane (see my post on Nov 5, 2019 : "Construction Tower Crane 2"); hence its title. I will later show a construction site equipped with a heavy-lifter tower crane and one that is not equipped with such a crane. This complex picture shows self-similarity like fractal graphics. It also shows chaos, but under some type of "controlled" ordering. Such a structure is "alive"; it grows, it transforms, it evolves slowly into a completely different structure. When we look at a construction site with an artistic mind, we stop naming things and figuring out what it is, and we start to see ... pure structures from another abstraction level. As most photographs know, framing makes a big difference; we filter out distracting details while focusing on a peculiar aspect, as unique as possible, of what we want to show and to express. Here, I want to show a "discontinuity,” between the left and right sides. I felt a shock when I discovered it. I asked myself, why such discontinuity was designed in a building structure? In the same way when I look at a geographical map and that I observe an almost linear sequence of lakes, which spans over 1000 kilometers long; I asked myself ... why.
