Description
First illustration for a story that I'm attempting to write about a female private detective in fifties New York.Her name is Danniella Carmichael and this one shows her apartment that also doubles as her office...rental prices are quite steep in her neighbourhood. As you can see she's a bit of a slob. In later images I've decided to change the gun she uses as a Colt 1911 seems pretty large in retrospect and not exactly easy to conceal. I used the Mafia Boss Office from Polish (Daz) as a base but added a lot of new props to try and get a feel for the period I'm after. Also trying to get that noir feel to these as well...not sure if I got that.

I think the noir and seediness is there, but there is a Lichtenstein like picture on the right wall which would be much later. In spite of the excellent colours, would B&W give it more of a period feel? Great scene and detail
Nice, lots of details. Just a remark on the light color, I think more yellow lighting could fit the ambience.

This image is definitely worth 5 stars, as it is 1) interesting 2) original and 3) excellently executed.
There is something about the dinginess and dark tones that make me feel it could be set in H. P. Lovecraft's fictitious town of Innsmouth.
