Description

Le château de Valençay se trouve à Valençay, en Indre (France). Il fut la propriété de la Maison d'Estampes de 1451 à 1747, puis du prince de Talleyrand. Bien que situé dans le Berry, sa construction l'apparente aux châteaux de la Loire, en particulier au château de Chambord. Le parc est inscrit au titre des monuments historiques depuis le 25 mars 1992. Le château ainsi que divers éléments du domaine sont classés au titre des monuments historiques depuis le 8 mars 2011. La totalité du pavillon dit de la Garenne et de ses dépendances sont inscrits par arrêté du 8 août 2013 Valençay Castle is located in Valençay, in Indre (France). It was the property of the Maison d'Estampes from 1451 to 1747, then of the Prince of Talleyrand. Although located in Berry, its construction is similar to the castles of the Loire Valley, particularly Chambord Castle. The park has been listed as a historic monument since 25 March 1992. The castle and various elements of the estate have been classified as historic monuments since 8 March 2011. The entire Pavillon de la Garenne and its outbuildings are listed by decree of August 8, 2013
