Description
This was in our garden, two Pieris rapae (Latin name).
There are very few butterfly species to be seen this year. Incredibly few actually, and when you see a few, they are mostly Cabbage White.
I don't know if you have the same experience regarding the amount of butterflies. (?)

Mies, een prachtige foto met perfecte details en op het juiste moment genomen !! Wat betreft de aanwezigheid van vlinders in de tuin is het hier niet anders. Het beperkt zich bijna uitsluitend tot die paar koolwitjes. Een evolutie die al een paar jaar bezig is. Ik heb heel veel bloemen in mijn tuin en vroeger was er een overvloed aan diverse kleurrijke vlinders, waar zijn die gebleven en komen ze nog terug ?? Prettige zondag !

Oh, a splendid photo of these beautiful butterflies. We can see the tiny hairs on their wings, and the "shag carpet" around their bodies. I love that you captured two of the butterflies, one on top of the other. (Maybe they're a couple.) And in real contrast with those purple-pink flowers. Beautiful capture. Their wings look like etchings...or like someone sprinkled powder on them. A beautiful macro.
