FRANÇAIS Une Case Standard d'une BD À partir de l'épisode 2, j'ai cherché à appliquer un style plus constant d'une page à l'autre et d'une case à l'autre, afin de faciliter la lecture de cette série relativement complexe. Sur cette image illustrant une case typique de ma BD, la séquence de lecture des bulles, à l'intérieur de la case, suis un ordre de la bulle la plus haute vers la bulle la plus basse, telle que suggérée par la séquence numérique illustrée en rouge. Chacune de mes cases est délimitée par un cadre classique (un rectangle noir) qui contient l'image principale, des symboles et des bulles de texte (phylactère). Il y a 3 types de symboles : - symboles de sensations - symboles de sons - symboles de mouvements Il y a 6 types de bulles (phylactères) : - bulles de paroles localisées (un rectangle blanc, aux coins arrondis, avec un pointeur orienté vers le personnage qui prononce ces paroles) - bulles de paroles électroniques (un rectangle jaune avec un pointeur zigzaguant vers la source électronique) - bulles de pensées (un rectangle, de couleur pêche, aux coins très arrondis, accompagné d'un pointeur, en forme d'une goutte, orienté vers la tête du personnage; ce rectangle arrondi peut aussi contenir une image) - bulles de contexte (un rectangle bleu pâle situé au coin du haut et à gauche de la case. Habituellement, le texte se termine par 3 points.) - bulles de communications IMPEN (un rectangle jaune, aux coins très arrondis, accompagné par un pointeur, de la forme d'une goutte, zigzaguant vers la tête du personnage équipé d'un IMPEN (un Yeufin). C'est une combinaison d'un phylactère de pensée et d'un phylactère de paroles électronique). Ce rectangle arrondi peut aussi contenir une image) - bulles de paroles identifiées (un rectangle accompagné d'une icône identifiant le personnage qui parle sur un sujet illustré dans l'image principale de la case) Il y a 3 sous-types de bulles de paroles identifiées : - bulle narration (c'est un rectangle jaune accompagné d'une icône hexagonale représentant l'avatar du personnage qui récite, soit Ionivka ou Michette, lors de l'écoute de la lettre posthume d'Ionivka, par Mirvine et Foline.) - bulle commentaire direct (c'est un rectangle blanc accompagné d'une icône carrée représentant le personnage qui parle directement à un autre personnage, sur le sujet illustré.) - bulle télécommentaire (c'est un rectangle jaune accompagné d'une icône carrée représentant le personnage éloigné qui parle, par télécommunication, sur le sujet illustré.) L'image principale est dans un style ligné pour illustrer le monde d'Ionivka, ou dans un style semi-réaliste pour illustrer le monde de celles qui écoutent cette histoire : Mirvine et Foline. ENGLISH Starting at Episode 2, I made an extra effort into becoming more consistent in my page layout policy ; the reading sequence, from a clip to the next clip, is easier to figure out. The red numbers on the right of the above clip indicate the order of which the text should be read, for that clip. Each of my clips has a classic frame (a black enclosing rectangle), its main picture, symbols and "text balloons." There are 3 categories of symbols : - feeling symbols, - sound effect symbols, - movement symbols. There are 6 types of text balloons : - A speech balloon (a rounded white rectangle with direct pointer to the human source), - An electronic speech balloon (yellow rectangle with a zigzag pointer towards the electronic source), - A thought balloon (a peach-colored highly rounded rectangle with a tear-like pointer to the human source; it might contain a picture), - A context balloon (a light-blue rectangle at the top-left corner of the clip). Usually, the included text ends with 3 dots. - ENIMP (IMPEN) balloons (yellow colored highly rounded rectangles, bordered with dotted lines, with a tear-like zigzag pointer to the human equipped with an ENIMP (IMPEN) : a Fine-Eyes mutant. It is a combination of a thinking balloon with an electronic balloon. It might contain a picture), - Identified Speech Balloon (a rectangle with an icon stuck to it or over it; the icon illustrates the character who is talking on a subject that is illustrated in the main picture of the clip) There are 3 subtypes of identified speech balloons: - Ionivka story narration (It is a yellow rectangle with a hexagon-shaped icon that identifies the avatar source, Ionivka or Michette, who is narrating, within the posthumous letter, to the audience : Mirvine and Foline.) - Remote teller's comment (It is a yellow rectangle with a rectangle icon that identifies the remote talking character.) - Local teller's comment (It is a white rectangle with a rectangle icon that identifies the talking character.) The audience world is rendered in a semi-realistic style; the world of Ionivka (during her epoch) is rendered in comic lined style. The balloons within the clip should be read from top towards the bottom, as specified by the topmost part of the balloon (excluding the pointer part). I will usually translate the text contained within each balloon, in the reading sequence. The test within the balloon will be preceded by the code that identifies its type. S: Speech, E: Electronic speech, T: Thought, I: IMPEN (ENIMP), N: Narration, R: Remote teller, L: Local teller. If no type identifier precedes the FIRST text, it means that the text is enclosed within the context balloon. Here is an example, based on the above illustration. Clip "x" : At the end of the session... T: I am getting a headache! S: Slurp! E: At the next lesson, we will introduce... However, when there are many censored clips in a page, I will only summarize the content of each clip. I will identify, at the beginning, if it is a translation or only a summary.
