Description
This is on canvas board, in which I used various materials.
The round and half round shapes are slices of cucumber, which I first dried in a flower press.

I'm not sure if this is supposed to evoke a landscape or not, but I see one in it. If the idea of a landscape is what you are going for, then the one comment I might have is to use something other than a leaf to represent a tree. It seems like too direct of a link, and I prefer things like the flower and the string representing clouds.

Real cucumbers? Wow. They fit perfectly, because you have other objects too (leaves, beads, string, etc.) You always work with objects and paint so well. I forgot to tell Helle about this---she loves this kind of work. (I'll tell her in a note, later today.) You have a sky and a sea, almost...the bottom third is like a deep sea, with blues and deeper colors, and seaweed, and exotic sea creatures. You did a great job with the cucumber and with string (or fleece). And you let the canvas "speak" too---love how it comes through the paint. This is terrific, Jacomina. It's very physical, and you have sections of sheer beauty, next to sections of intense grit and life. Terrific. This would look great on a wall.
