The word ‘SENPAI’ means elder students. We put this word after the name with respect. Usually we call family names then if you have very friendly relationships, we call their first name. So Nana calls ‘Kumon(family name) - senpai’ in the school, but in her mind she calls him with first name ‘Jun-senpai’. The opposite word of ‘SENPAI’ is ‘KOHAI’.
