Description
It’s a beautiful day to be outdoors and Zola is taking advantage of it. The peonies are in full bloom so she picked enough to do several vases for the house. She plans to do the arranging out by the pool and let them stand for an hour or so to give the ants time to vacate before moving the flowers inside. At least that is HER plan. The ants may have other ideas.
This is dedicated to the Artist born in June with humble apologies for being late. June snuck up on me with all the craziness going on here. I hope those of you whose birthday has already taken place had a marvelous time and those still to come enjoy every moment.

More light and shade, and the shade is deep and inviting. Love the blue tones here in the concrete, the shadows, the pool, its tiles, and of course in Zola's beautifully draped outfit. The flowers stand out in those pinks. And the composition draws us back into shadow and a contemplative mood. A lovely evocative scene. (And since I wrote that crazy piece for your birthday, I can't look at Zola anymore without thinking of how I distorted her for comic purposes. She's one of your classiest models, and she's all poise and grace here.)
