Description
Once again, I'm going to have to step away for a few days....
No sooner did I kinda-sorta get over my bout with the creeping crud, than Jo got hit with a nasty bug. I had to take her to the ER last night - we spent about 4 hours there while they ran a battery of tests, x-rays, and so on. They diagnosed her with the beginnings of pneumonia. She didn't have to stay at the hospital, thankfully. They put her on antibiotics, and inhaler therapy. She's still feeling pretty rotten, although a bit less so than before. She's able to have some soup and plenty of fluids.
I'll be busy taking care of her, so won't have a lot of on-line or rendering time for a little while. Hopefully she'll keep improving and I'll be back soon (again).

EDIT: 05-13-19 Jo is doing better; was able to have some solid food today. Still coughing quite a bit, but overall getting better. Thank you all so much for the kind words and support!
BTW, that's Lisette posing with Melanie above. You'll see more of her in Ch. 7 - if I can get this avalanche of s##t under control.. 👀

Get well soon to Jo! Taking care of each other is more important than posting here, much though we want you to continue posting.
Sorry to hear about Jo. Geez you and I seem to get hit with a barrage of things. My new foot doctor I saw last Thursday did xrays, do have s good bone spur on left heel. Still feel like walking around with a rock in your shoe. The boot they gave me helps alot for now. Glad your over the bug, now just get your dear Jo back up again. T.N.A. can wait.
too bad about both of you being under the weather. pneumonia can be very dangerous for older people. I hope she has a quick recovery. I just got the thought of you being a nurse's uniform! I would not mind if there was room for her and me!

Sorry Mother's Day didn't turn out so great, but glad to hear she is feeling even marginally better. You just do what has to be done and the rest of us will be fine. Hang in there, Rod.
Rod, I'm really sorry Jo came down with the beginnings of pneumonia. I wish Jo the fullest recovery, and lots of rest and comfort . I'm very glad you're by her side, and at home (rather than in the hospital). I'm also really sorry this happened on the heals of your own illness...I wish you both the very, very best, and I hope Jo comes through it with total healing, and that you have all the strength you need to help her. All healing to you both, Rod. Btw, a lovely duo for your image in your usual style and panache. I'm sure your fans want you to take all the time you need. Take good care, friend, and may healing be with you both...

My Mother Had The P word 10 Years ago When she Was 80, and I almost Lost Her I drove Her to the ER and they sent her home thinking it was a minor Infection and Gave Her a prescription That I had to Pick up I took off for the pharmacy But I realized I forgot my Phone So I turned around and Found My Mom on the Floor So I Called 911 They took her to the Hospital and discovered She had "P" They Kept Her for a Week or then put her in a Care Facility "What a Dump!"For 6 Weeks! Because She was so Shaky and Weak. Take Care and Get Well
