I am having bigger trouble with my desktop and Poser. it locked this evening and after not restarting, I had to do a power switch turn off. my browser locked also
I am backing up my runtime and plan on uninstalling Poser. maybe it will work after re-installing. my runtime is way too large and that could be an issue

Your skies are always impeccable Richard. So sad your Computer is giving you trouble. There are a lot of free maintenance programs that can help you clear unnecessary files and as such free up memory and drive space. Please remember, that Poser renders on the hard drive as well, when it runs out of internal memory and that of the graphics card.

Magnificent Photo! I had to break my Poser into several different Runtimes to solve my issues with it. I now have 61 Runtimes in two folders.

excellent looking sky in poser have you tried changing preview render from open GL to SreeD quick change that resolved a great many poser issues for me many similar to your own. Also moving my poser libary to an a fast external HDD also made a big improvement.Of course the first option is cheaper as its free LOL

Sounds like either your hard drive is running out of space, or maybe a flaky memory stick. Give iborg's suggestion a try - switching to sreed in preview and see if things improve. Could be a video card issue also.
