Cat Logic. They need the sun to power their batteries so they can lay in the sun and power their batteries.
Lol. It might seem cruel now but I remember "letting" the family cat out before going to bed each night and it returning the next morning when someone got up. I'm not sure the cat was too happy with the arrangement as it would dig its claws into the carpet.

My cat is a rain cat, likes to be out sitting in the rain, mighty strange. damn freaking mop. :)
Our previous moggie used to wait in her kennel until the rain stopped - I think she also liked fresh air!

One of our Siamese used to clout me on the nose to wake me up. But when he was getting old he couldn't retract his claws ... I had a lovely collection of clawmarks ...
