Hold that leash very firm, or the dog is in for a lesson.

I had that situation two time, where some iresponsible dog owners left the dog from the leash and the dog was hunting our cats in our garden. The first time this happened my "Merline" was a Mom and she was extremely protective. She jumped the dog right away in the face and "reworked" it a bit with all four claws! Poor dog! I never saw him in our garden again! The second time a dog on a super long leash ran into our garden and caught our 8kg Felix on surprise. His claws in the dogs face teached the dog a lifetime lesson I think…
