Very lovely - I like all the variations, but the first variation under the original is my favorite.

this mesmerized me when it went up. (I've been dealing with a sick sister, physical therapy, trying to make more money, repairing my apt, etc., and when I see a pic like this, it just takes me out of my world in a flash.) A luminous set of variations, with a truly beautiful original.

I can see how some people can mistake this for a rose: I'd have known otherwise only because of your title. "Ranunculus" means "little frog"---and your guess is as good as mine! (I don't see a frog within a million miles of this thing! It looks like a frog? Really???) The top shot is a fragile, delicate, beautiful capture. You almost made it like thin silk or tissue paper. Also beautifully composed: The burst of red on the left bottom is stunning. A beautiful solo flower shot. Number 2---rod's favorite---is even more fragile, like an apparition. Beautiful use of whatever filters, settings, etc, you used on it. The red is now a set of electrical lights...

3 gives a deep green-yellow to the flower center---it's almost like cabbage. And the outer petals are beautiful blues, pinks, etc. It's stunning. 4 is a 'blush' shot---just blushes of hue and shape, soft and ephemeral. A beautiful contrast. And the last one is like an etching or bas relief. Or a pencil drawing. You flattened the image and made it like a carving. Brings out the complex patterns of the petals and their veins. A spectacular montage, Harry, a stunning set of treatments of an already beautiful original. Eye popping.
