Description
Just a bit of messin' around with some video compositing. The animation with the Vanguard was done in Poser - 120 frames @ 1920 X 1080. The frames were imported into Photoshop CC (where I just about went buggy reducing the frame length from 5 seconds to .01 second on all 120 of them), added the background (courtesy of NASA), did a quick 6 frame hyperspace flash, added the title and rendered the video. Surprisingly, it only took about a minute to render it!
Yes, that's Rico driving! LOL
Every time I do something like this, I end up admiring the folks at ILM, Weta, Pixar, etc. even more.
Thanks for taking a look!

Pretty impressive, Rod!! Good job
Look up something in Photoshop called "Actions" and learn about those. They're very helpful for many repetitive things
Yeah, about halfway through that process I thought 'Damn... I should be recording this and making an action out of it!" Live and learn... 😁
outstanding video and background
Cool! The closeup drive by impressed the size of the Vanguard on ya. Neat stuff!
Yeah, it's a pretty big ship, McG! It's going to be showing up in the story pretty soon...
I never got into the animation part of my poser, to impatient to indulge. I tried a few 3D old style image where you have green then red images. It worked well for me to view with the old glasses but did not never post cause who still had the old 3D pair lying around to view that post of mine.
I tried animation once, like I said Im impatient for that work. Hey maybe next one G4 could fly by and get a quick view of her in the window waving.
Again happy birthday tomorrow my friend. I would stay up till midnight and post your image but too tired for that, just do it after I get up and motivated.
I'm impressed! I watched this 3 times.
great work RodS
A stupendous achievement and totally fantastic video! I love it to pieces! Most amazing and wonderful work! Bravo to the max!!!!!
Cool work Rod ! I really like how you can see her in the cockpit. Really nicely put together. Looks like you had to do a lot of work and this would have taken you a lot of time to create too. One reason I stay away from animation is the sheer time it takes to do them. But if Octane can enable a real time ray tracing with the new nVidia RTX cards making creation of animation a lot faster, then maybe I will go buy the RTX card and give animation a try. It would be fun to animate Miho :)
Keep up the great work
:) !
Awesome video! I'd never be able to do anything like that on my computer, which is practically steam powered.
Fun video clip and cool spaceship!!!
Nice little bit of animation there.
'Wow'!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a super cool video.....I LIKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 'lol'!!
Very cool looking video. My computer is not up to this task lol.!
Super Cool job on this Rid.....I feel we'll be seeing Action Films with our favorite girls pretty soon LOLOL....
Well done my friend....I'm impressed and then some.
Right..... That will happen when I manage to hijack ILM and Pixar's render farms! 😆😁
Outstanding work on this bit! love the size of the ship and Rico being sweet as always. Happy Birthday
Excellent. Laying the groundwork for TNA the movie. ;) Happy Birthday!
You definitely have more patience that I do, nice job on this...
Sigh... "No compatible source was found for this media". Any chance of checking on this, or on posting a few still images? With all the health problems type meaninglessness, emptyness, computer dysfunctioning, I'm loosing interest in Poser and Renderosity, wherefore some stills may help inspiration.
I trust your images are, as usual, top notch! :)
Superb spaceship and excellent animation !
Excellent work! I did some work in Anime 8 a few years ago and enjoyed it but lost interest when the project it was intended for disappeared. My computer isn't really "strong" enough for animation and I lack patience these days.
surprising and fascinating <1
cool work my friend.
Wow! Fantastic short animation, Big Bro and thanks for sharing it with us! Just want to send you a warm "Happy Birthday" greeting!
Excellent! Happy Birthday
Super cool!
great job I am working on an animation right now and have been rendering 300 frames for twelve hours a day for two weeks!
That is cool. I never really had any interest in making the animation myself.
This is wonderful, Rod. Short but very sweet. I am not into animation myself, but do admire other's work...You're such a talented fella :)
