In this picture, Oulieva is "thinking" (i.e. searching data correlation with her databases). This happens, for example, when she cannot understand a verbal order from Vlad. She is searching her semantic-syllabic dictionary (from her Turing brain) to make sense of what Vlad just told her. She strokes her lips for stimulating her thinking; a sensual connection has unexpectedly been built in her databases, from her experiences, that connects syllabic sounds to the way she uses her lips for saying the same syllables. If the search is not conclusive enough, she will repeat what Vlad told her, the way she thought she heard. Like : "Have you just said ....., Master?" If she is sure of what she heard but the phrase does not make sense, she will analyze the words then the phrases, and if ambiguous results come, from the best matching result of her search, she will say instead : "Did you mean ....., Master?" She generates lots of heat from her Turing brain, while "thinking.” Intense thinking can even make her stop seeing for the purpose of reducing energy use from her batteries, she can even become breathless (see 028- Oulieva : Her Circulation System.).
