Poignant portrait of a young girl, pining for someone or something...remembering, perhaps...I love your use of deep reds: On her ribbons, her scarves, etc, the bows in her hair, her lips...and on those great bold shudders...The white of her blouse really makes the reds stand out. And you composed this beautifully too, with that bright brick wall behind her, with her looking off to our right...Even her nail color is beautiful...And then, a hamster? Or a white pet rat? It makes a wonderful contrast to the little girl. Masterfully done, Ute.
