_______While many tourists coming over to Paris for the first time choose the Eiffel tower and the view it offers from its top as their first destination, it took me quite a couple of visits to our capital city before I made up my mind to do the same ! I was wrong, because you can definitely get the feel of the city from up there and admire the most popular landmarks and the overall town-planning of Paris that has made it possible to preserve an invaluable sense of homogenous architecture that so-called 'modern' capital cities have unfortunately lost.
_______ I have not chosen the view with the most famous landmarks in the distance here, but a view that will allow you to spot the Parisian replica of the Lady of Liberty whose illustration I posted last week here on the site. Remember : ...at the far end of the wooded and lush Swan Island, right in the middle of the Seine River ?!! Some tourists on board a lit-up bateau-mouche (tour boat) opposite the statue, are already gazing at her! Please zoom in for better details ! ...

Il est sûr que Paris (heureusement) a préservé son âme. Par contre il n'est donné qu'à des privilégiés d'habiter en son centre. Je ne sais pas si ce serait différent s'il y avait plein de tours comme ça au centre de la ville. Par contre c'est un fait que je ne regrette absolument pas.
Quelle image magnifique de Paris dans la lumière du jour finissant, alors que les éclairages urbains commencent à former des guirlandes dans les rues de la capitale! Fantastique photo, Jean-Luc!

Cette vue est tout simplement magnifique Jean-Luc ! Je me rappelle être montée sur la Tour Eiffel quand j'étais en école primaire. Je pense que la surveillance de toute une classe de gamins ne devait pas être facile dans un lieu aussi touristique ! (La c'est le côté professionnel qui ressort !) Un grand bravo à toi pour avoir si joliment capturé notre superbe capitale !
