Siril smiled capriciously to herself as she eyed the couple she had seen on the trail like a hungry predator, making little effort to hide her interest, while curtly dismissing the men, and women, who approached to solicit her company; like any good archer, once she had chosen her target, her aim would not falter. She watched while they relished their meal, the ale and each other’s company; keenly observing the subtle signs which revealed that, though in some ways they were intimately familiar, in others they were still strangers. “We seem to have piqued someone’s interest,” Coran observed with a nod toward the beautiful moon elf he couldn’t help but noticed openly ogling them with a predatory smile from across the common room. “It seems so,” Kara purred, returning her glare with a capricious grin of her own; which she seemed to take as an invitation, since she gracefully slid for her seat to the bar and sauntered toward them. “I’m Siril,” the alluring moon elf mewed as she slinked into the chair next to the druid; drinking in her natural beauty like a fine wine, before turning her hungry eyes toward Coran with equal appreciation. “You’re new in town… I saw you on the trail while on watch and thought I’d find you here.” “Do you always pursue your duty with such diligence,” he teased with an amused smile. “Tracking visitors down at their inn to assess them… personally.” “Only if they seem worthy of a truly exhaustive examination,” she taunted back, clearly enjoying the exchange of bawdy innuendos. “And does that happen regularly?” Kara inquired in a sultry tone, joining in on the fun with an impish smirk. “Not as often as I’d desire,” Siril professed with regretful sigh. “It’s usually quite dreary… just left out there to my own devices for hours on end with so little to amuse me… it’s enough to make a girl prone to doing something wanton.” “Oh… how terrible,” Kara cooed with mocked sympathy. “But, from what I saw, there seemed to be no shortage of men, and women, willing to entertain you during those lonesome hours.” “Yes,” Siril admitted with a rueful sigh as she scanned her eyes between the rejected would-be-suitors who had beseeched her earlier that evening. “But it isn’t good to be that distracted when on watch. Not to mention that things can get… complicated… when locals are involved. It tends to end better for everyone when I find my diversions with those who are just pass through… like you.” Coran was about to make a joke about being considered just a diversion, but before he could one of the inn’s cute young human maids interrupted to inform them that their bath was ready and suggest that they return to their room while it is still hot; then, knowing Siril’s well-deserved reputation all too well, and having overheard enough of the conversation to be red-faced with embarrassment, she scampered away as fast as she could. “A hot bath… how delightful,” Siril purred with a coy smile, as she turned back from watching the flustered maid’s retreating figure. Coran and Kara exchanged knowing grins, recognizing that she was obvious angling for an invitation to join them, and he gave an approving nod, so she willingly took the bait, asking with feigned innocent; “I don’t suppose you would care to join us?”
