Description
Or a very strange version of one, like where is the cockpit? Can't see one from this angle and I didn't see one from any other POV. Seems quite small for a flying wing with pilot. I should have taken more pics of it.
Captured back on 4/4/09, at the Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, California.

Interesting shot - looks like it's possibly being refurbished?
We have some really big, black flying wings about 50 miles east of me...
Wing-wing! wing-wing! interesting shot
Cool capture. It could be one of those unmanned aircraft.
Maybe in the works of a project. Cool shot.
The wing section (with under carriage) of one of the most amazing and most beautiful fighter planes of WWII, the Famous P-51 Mustang! Excellent shot!
Thanks for the info. I had no idea it was connected with the P-51.
That looks like the wing and landing gear of a P-51 Mustang.
Thanks for the info. I had no idea it was connected with the P-51.
Looks like it needs a LOT of work to be recognizable. Very fascinating photo. Thanks to FurNose and starship64 for telling us what this is. Keep up the good work! :-)
I do like the wafer tires :-) And it is a great shot.
