Yeah, Rod has it: Scratchboard. (I see your images way before most people comment, so I'm seeing these comments for the first time!) That's what this looks like. I loved the original of this, and you've turned it into a big carved-enamal piece, glazed with beautiful glaze, like ceramic. It's got an etched feeling. And the lady inside is like a primal spirit, someone out of Oceana or the traditional African or Native American arts. Your sense of design really shows in choosing this elaborate gazebo thing, with all that tracery; and then doing this to it, making the tracery glow in neon...Fine work, Mike. Very jewel-like. I'll be back for more soon, but I loved your 'dreaming' image---posted a little while ago---and your follow-up to the robbery image; I'll comment on them next time. Hope you're doing ok, once again; and hope it's getting easier as the days pass...
