Kerli, on the left, is comforting Bara, on the right
"what's wrong, Bara? Talk to me, please." Kerli knelt down by her friend who was shaking and sobbing.
between sobs, Bara choked out "I just can't take this anymore. I just can't!"
"Take what, dear?" Kerli asked, kneeling closer.
"The prodding and poking and the questions. It's just too much. I just want to go home!" Bara wailed. "I just want to go home," she whispered.
for the most part, I like to do happy or neutral scenes, but when I loaded these two in, it just took on a life on its own.

Fantastic job on this sad scene, excellent lighting and poses.
I'm with a lot of other people who find this quite moving. Of course you post dancing and 'up' images most of the time, and you want to explain why you suddenly post something darker; but your images are about life, and you will encounter darkness in that journey too...and you portrayed it beautifully here. And there's compassion and love here too...The scene is done with powerful grime and decay, the floor looks like the lobby of those old flats in lower Manhattan where immigrants stayed at the turn of the last century, sometimes 8 to a flat; and you caught that dark soiled feeling beautifully. Your two figures are wonderfully textured, as if this were a 16th C painting that had decayed with age; and the postures portray classical private pain and gentle compassion. You even have modern graffiti here, and bullet-broken windows---with the feeling of an alley in back (though that could be a hall, or even a reflection). For my part, you can explore all the aspects of humanity you wish...this is beautifully done Mike, and it shows the same mastery as all your other images do.
