Description
Hemingway's Rum and Papa's Pilar Rum. their business ethic was modeled after Hemingway's ideology
located in Key West, Florida http://www.papaspilar.com/#/papaspilar/landing
their building was burnt before and they remodeled to occupy again. it is a very old building.
I read on their website that the middle class(also poor class or no class like "me") mixed poor quality rum with coke to hide the poor taste.
when I was in my early 20's I was drinking 151 proof Bacardi rum straight but only small amounts

great shot! I tried 151 once and decided that it was not for me
Some serious renovation needed.
I think that building needs a little work. Nice capture, though.
Hemingway lived in the Keys, didn't he? Good rum can rival some brandies. When I went to PR I would always come back with their best Rum...Nice capture of this piece of local history.
Great photo. Very good capture.
Very Intesting !!
Nice shot of this old building.!!
Now there's a building with a story to tell!
Cool!
Shining.
It is amazing!
Interesting story and shot !!
Cool photo of these historic buildings, Richard. Wow… 151 proof? Gads… If I even looked at a bottle of that I'd fall down!
This looks well used and weathered, thanks for the information.
