Description

Just a little sketch I did this evening. Took about an hour. Watercolor on good Sketching paper. I finally found a book i once purchased with very nice watercolor paper. Strange they make them as really books. The good thing is, that the paper has only little texture, just as I wanted. I will try it out. tomorrow. This morning It was freezing -3C and the lawn was hard and slippery, so I was afraid letting hubby go shopping as he usually insists on doing, but this time I didnt allow him and the fridge was one big echo. No food.!! So off I went to the supermarket. 7 minutes drive to the hill. Easy. But when i had been around and collecting all the food, the shopping cart was full to the edge. Much heavy stuff in it too. Canned cat food, white cabbage head. And other heavy things. After packing all of it in my bags, my back was about to sue me. I could barely roll the cart to my car holding to the cart with one hand and to my back with the other and not without saying ouch! ugh! ouch! argh! After fighting the bags into the trunk. I could barely come into the car, but also that I maneged at last. At home it was same Circus. I was concidering asking Per to bring me coffee in the car and my duvet and pillow so I could go to sleep there! BUT also that I maneged. So now my back is back to square one. DANG! I will do absolutely nothing tomorrow In the hope my back wont sue me. I now am sure I really pulled a muscle, the day 2 months ago, when I lifted the heavy Succulent. SIGH! AHH!!! it was good to whine a little...much. :D Thank you for reading and visit... I Have to leave this chair another time, to move slowely around. I will try to catch up tomorrow. I cannot do it today.

beautiful work! too bad you don't have an indoor hot tub with jets - you could sit in it and let the hot water beat your back into submission

I will send you the woman who comes to the park and gives massage! I see her every two weeks, and I'm sure she could fit you in. :D She's amazing. Take good care of yourself, and stop overdoing! Of course that's easier said than done.

I love your watercolor! The shadows on the ground are so well done. I can see where people have been walking. This is such a delight!

A fabulous sketch with super detail. I'm sorry that your back is out again it doesn't take much to wreck them but they take ages to heal. I'm glad you didn't have to stay overnight in the car. Take care. 😀

This is such a delicate and accomplished piece of work, Helle. You are a very clever artist.

Your story of the shopping brings the full horror to life !
We used to have a saying " What is the difference between a supermarket trolley and a girl from the school we taught at?' and the answer is ' A supermarket trolley has a mind of it's own.'

Loverly little watercolor you've posted here, Helle. As for your back, it needs rest to heal, and then get an inversion table, or at least go to a health place where they have one. It's the only thing that did wonders for my back. I can't use mine anymore because of my hiatal hernia.
