Description
The Immaculate Conception Cathedral is located on Beach Street in Apia. It was originally constructed in 1884, but was recently rebuilt, due to damage received during the 29 September 2009 earthquake in the South Pacific. It was rebuilt at an estimated cost of ST15 Million (ST - 1 Samoa Tala = 0.39 $US), with beautiful timber-crafted ceilings, dazzling stained-glass windows and a capacity of 2,000 persons.
