IF THERE BE MAGIC IN THAT SHROOM THAT BITE MUST HAVE BEEN GOOD SUPERB SHOT MY FRIEND!
That's a MUshroom? What a weird color for such a growth. I thought it was an apple at first. Anyway, cool closeup of the bitten fungi, Helle. I wonder if it was poisonous.
I wonder if the biter is still alive. A great shot, and well spotted. 😀
It's amazing that some creatures can eat fungi that are poisonous to us !
I'd love to know who bit off. Let's hope the biter is still alive
Very nice capture Helle.
Someone's seeing some really weird colors about now......
Wonderful shot of this colorful mushroom, Helle!
stupendous find and interesting capture - not to mention the burning question - who done it?
I love the comments: Rod thinks this dude is hallucinogenic, lol. As, I think, does Bob (shroom_magic). Harry thinks it could be an apple. (That rare breed that grows out of the ground.) Nancy and Christian think the biter might not be with us anymore; and andrea comments on how what's poisonous to us is fine to other creatures. (Birds can eat hot, hot, hot pepper seeds, and feel nothing: We eat one, and we're wiped out for days.) And Mike just wants to know: Who's the culprit. Well, I just gave you a summary of all the comments. I'm a full service commenter...
I love the bold look of this: In full view, it's really bold. You got the sheen and the almost vinyl look of it, and the honey-like yellow under the skin, and that bright spongy white inside. I also like the look of the grass, it's kind of spongy too (I assume from postwork). A bold in-our-face image; and really bold full size. I love this. (You could post a follow up, with 2000 bodies all around it, swigging medicine and taking their temperatures. And one of them saying, "I told you not to eat that thing!")
