Description
After a severe storm, some trees in the forest have been hit. This birch tree was close to a small river and could not withstand the wind.

What a lovely place !!
Breathtakingly Beautiful,
A stunning photo another lovely place
Stunning image - I was struck by the fallen tree - it looks so wrong and yet so part of the river at the same time.
There is still a lot of colour even now. That was quite a tall tree!
good shot! I suppose the ducks have a lovely new shelter, now.
I like the vibrant fall colors and reflections. erosion claims many trees here also
A calm bucolic site even if a forest giant had fallen.
Die Beleuchtung und Harmonie der Farben sind hervorragend, in dieser ziemlich melancholischen Landschaft. Ein tolles Foto!
What's amazing with this is how the fallen tree blends right into the environment around it. It's clearly fallen, but it also seems like bushes. Real clarity in the leaves and branches, and a silver-hued river. And a very dramatic sky---beautifully done, it shimmers.
