Description
Carla 'B' & a younger Jasmine.
I have been thinking about the girls over the years & Meadow who is now an elderly lady.
I watch a programme called Pitbulls & Parolees, its about Tia Torres & her family who rescue this lovely breed, that is so misunderstood, in New Orleans. They rescue, give them shelter, a warm bed & food, getting them ready for new forever homes.
The last episode I watched was about a 14 year old Mastiff whose owners, when found, said "they didn't want him any more"!!! He was very arthritic but very loving. How on earth could his owners do this too him, 14 years then they threw him away like a piece of garbage.
There is too much cruelty around the world & I cannot understand why people are so cruel.
Happy Thanksgiving to those friends who celebrate it.
Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated. x

they decided that they did not the 'responsibility' anymore; that it was too much work and money (MO)
great picture
Beautiful, great capture!
Beautiful shot Barb unfortunately some places like india and china sometimes the take elderly parents into the city and leave them with dementia or some other ailment a sad indictment of people lack of empathy it does'nt surprise me to hear that somebody would do that to a lovely dog Whats happening to the human race as we evolve lovely capture of the girls!
Oh only caregivers like you would shed a tear for the misunderstood and helpless pets .
The story above is very disheartening to say the least --- sending their sick and elderly away like the caregivers that lack empathy and remorse for their sick and helpless pets.
What a precious picture of your beautiful Carla "B" and baby Jasmine..
xoxoxoxo
Beautiful capture of these two lovely ladies. When people take in a dog, cat, whatever, many don't consider the responsibility they have taken on. They rarely consider these little "people" get sick and will need extra attention and care as they get older. For these thoughtless, shallow individuals, having a "pet" seems to be more the thing "to do" than a love for the animals. I often feel that there is a case for justifiable homicide when someone abuses animals, small children, the infirm and the elderly.
How appalling !
These girls look so very alert!

Humans are born cruel. We are a cruel species by nature. We didn't crawl to the top of the food chain just because we have a thumb or rotating shoulder joint. But, we can be taught to care, but unfortunately, there are many many humans that are not taught, or ignore what they were taught.
