They went camping together, even bought houses next to each other in Florida. When Edison realized he was dying, he gave Ford (if you can believe this) a test tube containing his final breath. That weirdness aside, in later years, Edison was confined to a wheelchair, so Ford got one as well, and the two of them had wheelchair races on the Florida beaches. What a recklessly cool thought....
